About bearded villains and BVEA
bearded villains and BVEA History
Bearded Villains 'BV' was established back in 2014, in Los Angeles California U.S. The founder and president Fredrick Von Knox. His idea was to form a social media based club, that showcased bearded men from all walks of life.
The Brotherhood reached the UK in early 2015, where the original 9 UK members met for the first time together. Shortly after, Bearded Villains United Kingdom was official. East Anglia became 1 of the original 7 charters within the UK. At this time, the UK had approximately 150 active members.
Since then, BV has grown worldwide and now has Chapters in places such as Brazil, Germany, Canada , Greece, Netherlands, Australia, Mexico & multiple states in the US to name a few.
In early 2018 BVUK had grown so much, that it was decided for the existing Charters to become stand alone Chapters. Thus, BVEA was officially born. Even up until now, the Chapters continue to grow within the United Kingdom - Let alone anywhere else in the world!
BVEA now stands at nearly 50 members strong. We have a few regular events that we do, including our famous 'Wednesday club'. Here we meet for a few laughs and a beer or two. Quite often we are joined by brothers from across the UK, who might be in the area at the time. We also hold a monthly homeless run where we hand out clothing, food and supplies to help the homeless of Peterborough. We hold a yearly Easter egg drive and a Christmas toy drive for our local hospital. On top of this, we carry out many fundraising events for local charities. These include fun runs, bike rides & mountain climbs, to name a few. We are always looking to support the local community, whenever possible.
All Chapters throughout the world centre their activities around Family, Charity Work, Support, Respect, and Loyalty to The Bearded Villains. Our mission statement is as follows....
" To Unite Bearded Men of all cultures, races, creed and sexuality in a Brotherhood devoted to Loyalty, Honour and Respect toward all people, Dedicated to the betterment of mankind through fraternity Charity and Kindness "
