Over the weekend of 13th - 15th September, the Scottish capital was descended upon by a horde of Villains eager to get festivities started at EdinBEARD 19, all in the name of charity and brotherhood.
The Bearded Villains Scotland chapter put together a fantastic weekend which was attended in force by the mighty BVEA who showed up alongside brothers from the Swedish and Flemish Chapters, East of England and numerous others including the Villainetes and BV Queens.
Everything kicked off at the Gait where brothers and sisters could mingle and catch up with old faces, there was a big enough crowd for the bar close the top floor for the event especially, a sign of things to come for the weekend and proof of the excellent turn out.
From the Gait, a ravenous group hit the streets making our way to the Cosmos buffet restaurant and while there was a lot of waiting around while a panicked restaurateur tried to cram us all in and a Wetherspoons flat out refused to allow such a large group in, fun was still had. We finally got inside though and had more than our fill before heading back out into town with full bellies.
The Saturday saw the flag shoot which you can see was well attended and was a lot of fun, taking in views of the city and attracting a lot of attention on the long walk up. We were even lucky enough to witness a Flemish proposal at the end of their chapter shoot, (she said yes!).
From here we were off again, this time to the Three Sisters bar. An excellent venue choice, with loads of room, (including our own area) good drinks and attentive staff. There was merch to be brought, barbers to visit, bar discounts to be enjoyed and of course a good old fashioned beard competition in which our very own Ryan @ginger_bvea won a category.
The huge raffle put on by BV Scotland raised a large amount of money for Scottish Mental Health and from there it was on to partying into the wee hours.
I think I speak for all of BVEA who attended EdinBEARD 19 when I say a massive thank you to the BV Scotland chapter for such a enjoyable weekend of making memories, strengthening bonds and making new friends.

We can't wait for next year!
